Managing Google Ads Offline Conversions in the CRM

The CRM's Ad Manager feature enables you to create, edit, and manage your Google Ads offline conversion actions directly within the platform. This allows you to track important customer actions that happen outside of your website, such as qualified leads, booked appointments, or completed sales, ensuring your Google Ads reporting accurately reflects your entire sales funnel.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, you must have your Google Ads account properly integrated with the CRM.

How to Create a New Google Ads Offline Conversion

Follow these steps to set up a new offline conversion action.

Step 1: Access Ad Manager

From the main navigation menu on the left side of your screen, select Marketing. Then, click on Ad Manager from the top navigation bar.

Step 2: Open Ad Manager Settings

On the Ad Manager dashboard, locate and click the gear icon found next to the Create Campaign button.

Step 3: Navigate to Google Ads Conversions

Within the Ad Manager settings, click on Google Ads under the Platform Settings section. Then, switch to the Conversions tab. This screen will display a list of all your existing and newly created conversion actions.

Step 4: Create a New Conversion

Click the + Create a new conversion button in the top-right corner of the Conversions screen.

Step 5: Configure the Conversion Details

You will need to complete the following fields in the creation form:

  • Conversion Name: Provide a clear, descriptive name for the conversion action.
  • Conversion Source: Select the appropriate source from the dropdown menu, such as 'Qualified lead' or 'Purchase'.
  • Conversion Count: Choose whether to count One per click or Many per click.
  • Conversion Value: You have three options:
    • Use same value for each conversion: Enter a fixed value and select a currency code.
    • Use different value for each conversion: Enter a default value and currency, which can be overridden when sending conversion data.
    • Do not use value for this conversion action: Track the conversion by count only, without a monetary value.
  • Conversion Window: Select a duration (e.g., 30, 60, 90 days) for how long after an ad click a conversion can be attributed.

Step 6: Save the Conversion

After filling out all the necessary information, click the Create button. The new conversion action will be saved and automatically synced to your connected Google Ads account via API.

Editing or Deleting a Conversion

You can edit or delete conversion actions from the list on the Conversions tab. Please note that the attribution model for offline conversions is fixed to 'Data-driven' as per Google Ads guidelines.
