Managing Legacy Features in Your CRM
About Legacy Features
Your CRM platform is continuously updated with new tools and improvements. Over time, some older features are replaced by more powerful and modern alternatives. These older features are classified as Legacy Features.
Legacy features are modules that are no longer actively developed or supported by the platform's engineering team. They are not enabled for new accounts by default. The primary reason a feature becomes legacy is that a superior replacement has been fully implemented within the CRM.
Available Legacy Features
Currently, the following features are available as legacy options:
- Campaigns and Triggers: This older automation system has been completely superseded by the more advanced and capable Workflows engine.
It is strongly recommended to use the modern Workflows system for all automation needs, as it offers greater flexibility, power, and ongoing support.
Enabling Legacy Features
As an account administrator, you have the option to enable access to these legacy features for your users. This setting is managed within your Business Profile settings.
- Navigate to your Business Profile settings area.
- Locate the section for Legacy Features.
- You will see checkboxes corresponding to the available legacy modules (e.g., Campaigns and Triggers).
- Check the box next to a feature to enable it for your account and its users.
- Save your changes.
Important Considerations
Before enabling a legacy feature, please be aware of the following:
- Limited Support: Legacy features are provided "as-is." The engineering team does not fix bugs or provide updates for them.
- Potential Issues: You may encounter unresolved bugs or compatibility issues that will not be addressed.
- Phasing Out: These features are in the process of being permanently removed from the platform. Relying on them for critical business processes is not advised.
The purpose of allowing access to these features is to provide a transition period for users who may have historical data or setups. For all new projects and automations, you should use the recommended modern tools like Workflows.
