Business Profile Settings - General
The General section of your Business Profile contains critical settings that affect data quality, scheduling, and deliverability across your CRM. Review each option carefully to ensure alignment with your team's intake, sales, and compliance workflows. After making changes, save your settings and test key processes like form submissions, appointment bookings, and email sends to confirm everything works as expected.
Duplicate Opportunity Settings
When enabled, this feature allows duplicate opportunities to be created within the same pipeline. Instead of moving an existing opportunity between stages, new opportunities will be generated. This can be useful for specific business scenarios where multiple opportunities from the same contact are needed.
Merge Facebook Contacts by Name
Contacts messaging your business through Facebook Messenger create new contact records since Facebook only provides the user's name without phone numbers or email addresses. Enabling this setting merges Facebook Messenger contacts with existing contacts that have exactly matching names (case-sensitive).
Disable Contact Timezone
By default, your CRM uses each contact's local timezone for scheduling communications. This ensures emails sent at 8 AM EST reach West Coast contacts at 8 AM PST, not 5 AM PST. Disable this feature only if you specifically want to use your sub-account's timezone for all contacts regardless of their location.
Bot Detection for Statistics and Automation
Email marketing metrics can be skewed by automated bot activity that artificially inflates open and click rates. Enable this setting to prevent bot interactions from affecting your engagement statistics and triggering automation workflows.
Number Intelligence Settings
Number Intelligence performs best-practice phone number validation to ensure calling and texting functions work properly, control costs, and maintain reputation. These settings help verify phone numbers before they're used for communications.
Verify Email Address on First Send
When enabled, this feature automatically validates a contact's email address when you attempt to send their first email. If marked invalid, the email won't be sent, and you'll need to verify the email address before future communications.
SMS Compliance Settings
SMS compliance requires proper opt-out messaging to respect recipient preferences. Your CRM automatically configures opt-out messages by default, though you can customize or disable them (not recommended). These settings help maintain regulatory compliance for text messaging.
Email Unsubscribe Links
To comply with email marketing regulations, your CRM automatically includes unsubscribe links in all emails by default. While you can customize or disable these links (not recommended), they're enabled by default to ensure compliance with consumer protection laws.
