Using Multi-Select in Media Storage

What is Multi-Select?

The Multi-Select feature in your CRM's Media Storage allows you to select multiple files or folders at the same time. This makes it easy to perform actions on many items together, saving you time and effort.

Benefits of Multi-Select

Efficient File Management

You can quickly choose multiple files by dragging your mouse over them or using checkboxes, which simplifies organizing large collections of media.

Bulk Actions

Move, download, or delete all selected files in one go, eliminating the need to handle each file individually.

User-Friendly Interface

Enter multi-select mode by dragging to select items or using the "Select" option in the three-dot menu. Selected files are marked with a checkmark in the top left corner.

Selecting Files in Grid View

Click and drag your mouse across the files you want to select, or choose the "Select" option from the three-dot menu. Each selected file or folder will show a checkmark.

Selecting Files in List View

Use the checkboxes next to each file or folder to pick multiple items.

Performing Bulk Actions

Once you've selected your files, use the available buttons to move, download, or delete them all at once. You can select and download up to 100 files in a single operation. Note that files larger than 2 GB will be skipped during multi-file download and must be downloaded individually. While in multi-select mode, the "Rename" and "Get Link" options are disabled to keep bulk actions straightforward.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I select files from different folders?

No, Multi-Select currently works within a single folder. To manage files across multiple folders, you'll need to perform actions separately in each one.

Are there file types that can't be selected?

Multi-Select works with all file types in Media Storage, but some actions might not be available for certain files. For instance, previewing may not be supported for all types.

What happens if files have the same name?

If you move or download multiple files with identical names, the system will ask you to rename or skip them to avoid overwriting.

Is there a limit to how many files I can select?

Yes, you can select up to 100 files at a time. If you try to select more, you'll see a notification.
