White-Label Desktop App Setup Guide

What Is the White-Label Desktop App?

The White-Label Desktop App enables agencies to create a fully branded desktop application for their clients, compatible with macOS, Windows, and Linux. This tool allows you to customize the app’s appearance—including its name, icon, theme, and background—so it aligns seamlessly with your agency’s brand identity. You can configure these settings directly from your Agency Dashboard, preview changes in real time, and generate a downloadable or shareable application once the build is complete.

Key Benefits

Using a white-label desktop app offers several advantages for agencies looking to deliver a polished, professional experience:

  • Brand Consistency: Customize the app name, icon, theme, login screen title and subtitle, full logo, background image, and placeholder images to match your branding.
  • Cross-Platform Support: Build and distribute the app for macOS, Windows, and Linux users.
  • Live Preview: See changes instantly in the customizer before finalizing the build.
  • Automated Build Process: Submit your configuration, and the CRM handles the rest, generating application links when ready.
  • Easy Distribution: Download the app directly or share access links via onboarding materials, client portals, or support resources.
  • Focused User Experience: Provide a dedicated desktop workspace that reduces distractions and improves workflow efficiency.

  • Windows
  • Linux

How to Set Up the White-Label Desktop App

Follow these steps to configure, build, and distribute your branded desktop app.

Step 1: Access the Desktop App Customizer

Log into your Agency Dashboard and navigate to the Desktop App tab. This is where you’ll manage all branding and build settings.

Step 2: Configure Branding Settings

Customize the following elements to define your app’s visual identity:

  • Theme: Select a preset theme or create a custom one.
  • App Icon: Upload an icon that will represent the app on the user’s device.
  • App Name: Enter the name that appears in the title bar and sign-in button. This cannot be changed once the build starts.
  • Title: Set the large heading text on the login screen.
  • Subtitle: Add supporting text below the title on the login screen.
  • App Full Logo: Upload a logo image, which will be scaled to 512 x 128 pixels.
  • Background Image: Choose an image to display as the app’s background.
  • Placeholder Images: Upload additional images to enhance the app’s appearance.

Step 3: Review the Live Preview

As you make changes, the live preview updates automatically. Use this to ensure everything looks as intended before proceeding.

Step 4: Save Your Configuration

Once you’re satisfied with the branding, save your settings. This prepares all selected elements for the build process.

Step 5: Submit for Build

After saving, trigger the Build App action. The CRM will automatically begin generating your customized desktop application.

When the build finishes, application links will be generated. You can download the app directly or copy the links to share with users. These are ideal for inclusion in client onboarding materials, documentation, or support communications.

Step 7: Promote to Sub-Accounts

Once the app is published, use the Promote toggle in the Desktop App Customizer to make it available to your sub-account users, who can then download it from within their CRM experience.
