Using Shopping Cart Mode in Order Forms
What is Shopping Cart Mode?
Shopping Cart Mode transforms your standard order form into a multi-item shopping experience. It allows visitors to select multiple products and choose different quantities for each before proceeding to checkout. This is ideal for selling product bundles or letting customers purchase several items in a single transaction.
Enabling Shopping Cart Mode
To activate Shopping Cart Mode for an order form on your funnel:
- In the funnel builder, click on the Order Form element to select it.
- In the left-hand settings menu, navigate to the Advanced tab.
- Scroll down to the Main Product Options section.
- Toggle the Cart Mode option to the 'On' position.
Note: You must have products already added to your funnel for them to appear in the live order form.
Configuring Products for Multiple Quantities
For customers to purchase more than one unit of a product, you must enable that option for each product individually.
- Navigate to the funnel step containing your order form.
- Click on the Products tab.
- Click the Edit button for the product you wish to modify.
- Expand the Additional Options section.
- Toggle the Allow multiple quantities to be purchased setting to 'On'.
- Set a Maximum units per order value between 1 and 999.
- Click Save.
Once enabled, the order form will display a quantity selector for that product. If the maximum quantity is greater than 10, customers can type the desired number directly.
Managing Product Descriptions
For subscription-based products, the system can automatically generate a description that explains the price breakdown, including any setup fees, trial periods, and recurring payments.
To disable these auto-generated descriptions:
- Select the Order Form element in the funnel builder.
- Go to the Advanced tab in the settings menu.
- In the Main Product Options section, toggle the Product Description option to 'Off'.
Note: One-time payment products do not have an auto-generated description.
Understanding Funnel Statistics
When Shopping Cart Mode is active, your funnel analytics will include new metrics:
- Quantity (Funnel Step Level): Shows the total number of all product units sold on that specific funnel step.
- Quantity (Product Level): When viewing stats for an individual product, this shows the total number of units sold for that specific product.
- Average Cart Value: This is calculated by dividing the total revenue from all orders on the funnel by the total number of orders placed.
