Current Accessibility Features

We have implemented a range of accessibility improvements throughout the platform, focusing on screen reader compatibility, keyboard navigation, and clear labeling for interactive elements. Below are some of the key areas where enhancements have been made.

Onboarding and LaunchPad

The onboarding process and LaunchPad include features to assist users who rely on screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, and other assistive technologies.

Screen readers announce progress through steps, provide context for modals, and deliver form validation feedback.
Keyboard navigation supports predictable tab order, Enter/Space activation where applicable, and Escape to close modals.
Focus indicators and behavior are consistent across steps and dialogs.
Language declarations and localized text improve pronunciation and comprehension.

Media Storage

The Media Storage interface now better adheres to accessibility guidelines.

Key elements work with screen readers to provide instructions and feedback.
Users can navigate and operate Media Storage using keyboard support.

These improvements help create a more inclusive experience for users relying on assistive technologies or keyboard navigation.

Enhancements have been made to the topbar and help drawer to improve accessibility.

Improved screen reader behavior in key navigation areas.
Keyboard navigation allows access to menus, buttons, and interactive items without a mouse.
ARIA roles and labels help screen readers interpret controls accurately.
Focus management is more predictable when navigating UI elements.
Accessibility cues for switcher items, including login-as and switching behavior, have been enhanced.

Video Learning Accessibility

The Course Builder supports closed captions and subtitles to improve accessibility for all learners.

Upload .srt files to add closed captions or subtitles, benefiting users who are Deaf or hard of hearing and those who prefer reading along.
Multi-language subtitle support is available for global audiences.
An advanced subtitle editor allows for visual and raw editing to refine timing and text accuracy.
