How to Refer Customers to the Pro Plan as an Affiliate

As an affiliate, you can refer both new customers and existing customers to upgrade to the Pro plan. This article explains how to find your unique affiliate links and the proper process for each type of referral.

Finding Your Pro Plan Affiliate Links

Your unique links for referring customers are available in your affiliate portal.

Via the Affiliate Portal

1. Navigate to your Affiliate Portal.
2. Scroll down and click on the section labeled Links.
3. You will typically see at least three distinct links:
   • Default Link: For referring new customers to a 14-day trial of the $97 Starter plan.
   • Existing Customer Upgrade Link: For referring current users to upgrade directly to the $497 Pro plan.
   • New Customer Trial Link: For referring new customers to a 14-day trial of the $497 Pro plan.

If you are looking for a 30-day extended trial link for the Pro plan, this is a special offer for affiliates with 100 or more active referred customers. To check your eligibility, please contact an Affiliate Manager.

Referring Existing Customers to the Pro Plan

Use this process when you want an existing customer who is already using your affiliate link to upgrade to the Pro tier.

1. In your Affiliate Portal, select the link specifically labeled for Existing Customers to upgrade to the Pro plan.
2. Copy the generated URL.
3. Send this link directly to your customer.
4. Instruct your customer to fill out the upgrade form presented at that link. They must ensure your affiliate link is correctly placed in the designated field on the form.

Important Note: The existing customer upgrade link does not provide an additional free trial. Upon form submission, the customer will be upgraded to the $497 Pro plan within 1-3 business days. Their billing cycle will be reset, and they will be charged a prorated amount for the upgrade.

After the customer completes the form, you're all set. Please allow up to 48 hours for the referral and commission details to appear in your affiliate tracking dashboard.

Referring New Customers to a Pro Plan Trial

Use this process to refer someone who is not yet a customer to try the Pro plan.

1. Go to your Affiliate Portal.
2. Click to select your 14-day Trial link for the Pro plan.
3. Copy this New Customer Pro Trial link and send it to your prospect.
4. When the prospect clicks your link, they should click the button to "Start A Free Trial of the Pro SaaS Plan Today!"
5. Your prospect then fills out the free trial form to create their account.

Once their trial account is created, they should appear under your referrals. If they do not, please contact support for assistance.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if my customer is on the $97 plan and wants to upgrade to the $297 plan?

You can receive split credit for upgrades to the $297 Unlimited plan. Ensure your customer uses your specific affiliate link when they initiate the upgrade from the $97 to the $297 plan to receive proper credit.

Will the upgrade form automatically upgrade my client, or do they have to do it later?

For existing customers, the upgrade form initiates an automatic upgrade process. There is no separate action required from the client afterward.

Can I give a 14-day trial to existing customers?

No. The 14-day free trial is exclusively for new customers signing up for the first time.

My customer was charged immediately upon upgrading. I thought it was a free trial?

For existing customers, the Pro plan upgrade is not a trial. As noted on the form and in this guide, they are upgraded immediately (within 1-3 business days) and charged a prorated amount for the new plan. Special 30-day trial offers for top-performing affiliates are handled differently; this is noted on the upgrade form.

If the customer I'm referring to the Pro plan isn't assigned to any affiliate, do I get 100% of their commission?

If you did not originally refer this customer to the platform, you will only receive commission for the Pro plan subscription upgrade, not for their base subscription. For example, if you refer a customer to upgrade from the $297 plan to the $497 Pro plan, you would earn a commission on the $200 monthly difference.
