Installing Apps from the CRM Marketplace

Finding and Installing Apps from the CRM Marketplace

The CRM Marketplace is a central location where you can discover and add powerful applications to extend the functionality of your CRM. To maintain quality and security, every app is reviewed before being listed. Only users with agency owner or admin permissions can install these apps. Access to the Agency-level Marketplace is available on the 'Freelancer' and 'Agency Pro' subscription plans.

How to Find an App

To begin, click on the App Marketplace option in the left-hand menu of your CRM. You can use the search bar to find a specific app by name or simply browse the full list. To narrow down the results, use the filter categories in the left sidebar. Click on any app that interests you to view its detailed information page.

Reviewing App Details

On an app's listing page, you will find comprehensive information to help you make a decision. This includes the app's name, a brief tagline, a full description, and images. You can also see the app's category, version number, the name of the provider, and its distribution type. The pricing is clearly indicated as free or paid, with plan details for paid apps. Be sure to review the features included, such as custom workflow actions or conversation providers, and carefully read the permission details to understand the level of access the app will require. Support resources are also provided, with third-party apps supported by their providers and CRM-developed apps supported directly by the CRM.

Installing an App

The installation process varies slightly depending on whether the app is free or paid and its distribution type.

Installing a Free Agency-Level App

Apps tagged for agency-level distribution are only available for installation at the agency level and cannot be installed by subaccounts. To install a free app:

  1. On the app's details page, click the Install App button in the top-right corner.
  2. Review the app's information and, if you agree, click Allow & Install.
  3. Follow any additional steps provided by the app, which may include logging into an external account and granting permissions.

If you see an Uninstall button instead, it means the app is already installed in your account.

Installing a Paid Agency-Level App

For paid apps, the payment process may occur within the CRM or on an external page, as determined by the app provider.

  1. On the app's details page, click the Install button in the top-right corner.
  2. Review the information and pricing, then click Allow & Install.
  3. If payment is handled within the CRM, select your desired plan and click Confirm. The amount will be charged to your card on file, and the installation will complete.
  4. If payment is external, you will be redirected to the provider's payment page. Complete the payment there, and upon success, you will be returned to the CRM Marketplace with the app marked as installed.

Managing Installed Apps

You can manage all your installed applications from the dedicated Installed Apps page. This provides a centralized view to monitor status, review plans, and identify any issues. The page is split into two views: Agency Apps for agency-level installations and Sub-account Apps for installations across subaccounts. You can use filters to quickly find apps that require an update or have a failed connection, and take actions like Reconnect or Update directly from the list.

Payment Failure and Grace Period

If a payment for a paid app fails, the service is not immediately paused. A 30-day grace period begins, during which the system will automatically attempt to retry the payment. You will receive alerts with instructions on how to resolve the issue, such as updating your payment method. This process is designed to minimize disruption. If the payment is not successfully processed by the end of the grace period, access to the app may be affected.
