Understanding the Minimum Advertised Pricing (MAP) Policy
What is the Minimum Advertised Pricing (MAP) Policy?
The Minimum Advertised Pricing (MAP) Policy requires that when you resell the CRM platform (including white-labeled versions), you may not publicly advertise access to the Core Platform for less than $97. This restriction applies specifically to advertisements. You may sell the Core Platform for less than $97 privately, as long as the discounted price is not discoverable through public channels like search engines, social media, websites, or blogs.
For complete policy details, please refer to Section 2 of the CRM's Terms of Service.
Who Does the MAP Policy Apply To?
The MAP Policy applies to any business or individual reselling the CRM Core Platform or a white-labeled version of it.
What is Considered the "Core Platform"?
The "Core Platform" is defined as a combination of two or more of the following features:
- Funnel and Website Builder
- Forms
- Surveys
- Customer Relationship Manager
- Email Builder
- Calendar
- Automation Workflows
The policy does not apply if you are offering a single feature as a genuine standalone product. However, it is a violation to advertise a standalone feature below $97 if you are actually providing access to the Core Platform, or if you bundle the standalone product with other "free" platform features.
Common MAP Policy Scenarios
What if I'm only reselling one feature?
The MAP Policy does not apply if you are offering one platform feature as a true standalone product.
What if I'm bundling the Core Platform with other products?
If you include access to the Core Platform as part of a larger bundle, the entire bundle must be advertised at or above $97.
Can I offer limited-time promotions or discounts?
You may not publicly advertise the Core Platform below $97. However, you can promote a sale without disclosing the price and require customers to add the product to their cart to see the discount. Private promotional codes are also permitted.
Are private offers below $97 allowed?
Yes, private offers through email, direct message, or other non-public channels are permitted as long as they are not searchable or discoverable online.
What about shopping cart displays?
Displaying a price below $97 only after a customer adds the product to their cart is permitted.
Can I offer a lifetime license?
One-time fee lifetime license offers for the Core Platform are not permitted without prior written approval.
Exceptions to the MAP Policy
The MAP Policy does not apply to:
- Physical price displays inside brick-and-mortar locations
- Private communication channels
- Prices shown only in the online shopping cart after "add to cart"
- Genuine standalone single-feature offerings
The CRM reserves the right to grant exceptions at its sole discretion.
International Considerations
If you reside in a country where MAP policies are prohibited, consult your legal counsel. The policy may still apply to cross-border transactions. The CRM does not currently support differential pricing based on geographic region or exchange rates.
Reporting Potential Violations
If you believe another customer may be violating the MAP Policy, please report it through the appropriate channels. The CRM will investigate reports but does not disclose enforcement actions.
