Understanding the Opportunities Dashboard

Interpreting Your Opportunities Dashboard

The Opportunities dashboard provides key insights into your sales pipeline. The data shown is filtered by the Date Created of the leads, based on the selected date range. For instance, if you set a range from January 24th to July 25th, the dashboard will display all leads created within that period.

Analyzing Conversion Rate

The dashboard automatically calculates your pipeline's conversion rate. This rate is determined by dividing the number of leads marked as WON by the total number of leads that entered the pipeline (opted in). A WON stage is automatically included in the system for tracking successful conversions; you do not need to create this stage manually.

Understanding the Funnel Chart

The funnel chart visualizes the progression of leads through your pipeline stages. The percentage shown next to each stage represents the portion of total pipeline leads that have moved into that specific stage.

Important Note on Pipeline Logic: The CRM is designed to reflect a typical sales journey. When a lead advances to a later stage, the system assumes they have passed through all preceding stages. Therefore, the count for every earlier stage is also incremented by one. This design is ideal for tracking a linear progression toward a sale (e.g., Prospect → Consultation → Purchase).

Because of this cumulative logic, the funnel chart is not the best tool for tracking non-linear outcomes like No-shows or Showed but Didn't Buy. Including these as stages can distort the funnel percentages, as it would inaccurately suggest that a certain percentage of all leads are intended to become a No-show.

Using the Stages Distribution Chart

For a clear view of where your leads currently reside, use the Stages Distribution chart. This chart simply shows the current count of leads in each pipeline stage, providing a snapshot of your pipeline's status without the cumulative logic of the funnel.

Tracking Lead History Through Stages

If you need to track every stage a lead has ever been in (such as logging a No-show event), you must enable the Allow Duplicate Opportunity setting for your pipeline. When this is on, and a lead is moved to a stage like No-show, an opportunity card remains in that stage as a historical record. For this to work, any workflow action that adds or updates an opportunity must also have its Allow duplicate opportunities toggle switched on.
