Enabling Apple Pay and Google Pay for Invoices and Text2Pay

Your clients can now pay one-time and recurring invoices, as well as Text2Pay links, using Apple Pay or Google Pay. These digital wallet options appear automatically for eligible customers alongside standard credit card payment fields.

How It Works for Your Customers

Whether a customer sees Apple Pay or Google Pay depends on their geographic location and the web browser they are using. The option will only be visible if both conditions are met and the customer has a valid payment method linked to their Apple or Google account.

The feature is supported on the following browsers: Chrome (Desktop and Android), Safari (macOS and iOS), and Microsoft Edge for Windows.

Setup Requirements

To offer these payment methods, you must use Stripe Connect as your payment processor.

  1. Navigate to the Payments > Integrations page in your CRM.
  2. Connect your Stripe account.
  3. Enable Apple Pay and Google Pay within your connected Stripe account.

Once enabled in Stripe, the options will automatically appear for your customers in invoices and Text2Pay links. For Apple Pay, the platform automatically registers your payment domain with Stripe after the account connection is made.

Troubleshooting

Apple Pay Not Appearing

  • Confirm the toggle for Apple Pay and Google Pay is enabled in your Stripe settings while your Stripe account is connected to your location in the CRM.
  • Verify Apple Pay is available in your country.
  • Ensure the domain hosting your invoices is registered with Stripe for Apple Pay. This should happen automatically. You can check this in your Stripe dashboard under the Web Domains section. If it's missing, you can add it manually as a temporary fix, but please contact support if automatic registration fails.
  • The customer must be using a compatible browser (Safari on supported iOS/macOS versions) and have a participating bank.

Google Pay Not Appearing

  • Confirm Stripe is connected on the Payments > Integrations page.
  • Verify Google Pay is available in your country.
  • The customer must be using Google Chrome or Safari and have a valid card registered with their Google Pay account.
