How to Import Existing Stripe Products into Your CRM's SaaS Configurator

Overview

This guide explains how to import your existing Stripe products and subscriptions into your CRM's SaaS Configurator. This is particularly useful for agencies that are migrating their existing Stripe billing setup into the CRM's SaaS Mode, allowing you to align your current client subscriptions with the platform's onboarding and management tools.

Important Note: This is a beta feature. To enable it, you must first navigate to your Agency Settings, locate the Labs section, and activate the option labeled Import Stripe Products into SaaS Configurator.

Step 1: Import Products from Stripe

To begin importing your Stripe products, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the SaaS Configurator section within your CRM and select the option to Create Plan.
  2. In the top-right corner of the page, you will see a button labeled Import from Stripe. Click it.
  3. A search interface will appear. Use it to find the specific Stripe product you wish to import by its name.
  4. Select the desired product from the list and confirm your choice to proceed with the import.

Once imported, the product's core details will be populated in the Configurator. You must then complete the rest of the plan setup, which includes:

  • Assigning a Category and establishing a plan hierarchy for upgrade paths.
  • Reviewing and confirming Pricing (note that new Stripe price IDs will be generated during this process).
  • Configuring features, snapshots, trial periods, and rebilling settings.

Finally, save the plan to complete the import.

After importing your products, you can link your clients' active Stripe subscriptions to their corresponding sub-accounts in the CRM.

  1. From the Agency View, go to Sub-Accounts and select Manage Client for the specific account.
  2. Open the SaaS tab for that client.
  3. Click the button labeled Add a SaaS Subscription.
  4. Choose Stripe as the payment provider.
  5. A modal window titled Request Client Payment Details will appear. Within it, select the option for Link Existing Customer in Stripe.
  6. You will be presented with a list of your Stripe customer profiles. Choose the one that has an active subscription for this client.
  7. From the panel on the right, select the specific subscription you wish to link.
  8. Confirm your selection. This action will enable SaaS features for the sub-account, linked to the existing Stripe subscription.

Important Notes

  • Importing a product does not transfer the original Stripe price IDs. The CRM will create new price IDs for use within its system.
  • This process is designed to be non-disruptive. Your existing clients' subscriptions and billing in Stripe will continue uninterrupted and can be mapped seamlessly to their sub-accounts.
  • This beta feature is currently available only for the Legacy/V1 version of the CRM's SaaS system.
