How to Set Up the NMI Payment Gateway
Overview
The NMI payment gateway allows you to securely accept credit and debit card payments from your customers. You can use this integration to process transactions for order forms, invoices, and Text2Pay links within your CRM.
Enabling the NMI Integration
To start accepting payments with NMI, you must first connect your NMI account to your CRM. This requires entering specific credentials from your NMI merchant account.
Step 1: Obtain Your NMI Credentials
You will need three pieces of information from your NMI account:
- Gateway ID
- Security Key
- Public Key
To find your Gateway ID, log into your NMI merchant account and navigate to Settings > Account Information. If you do not have your Security Key and Public Key, please refer to NMI's documentation or support to generate them.
Step 2: Enter Credentials in Your CRM
Once you have your credentials, follow these steps:
- Go to Payments > Integrations in your CRM subaccount.
- Locate the NMI integration option.
- Enter the Gateway ID, Security Key, and Public Key into their respective fields.
- Click Save to complete the connection.
Please note: You must be using Funnels version 2 to utilize this integration.

Where can I use the NMI integration?
You can use NMI to process payments for:

Do I need to create new products or sync them?
No, product syncing is not required. You only need to create a one-time or recurring product under Payments > Products. The product will charge the price you set during creation. If you are switching from another provider like Stripe or PayPal, existing products will work with NMI once you set it as the default provider in Payments > Integrations.
What payment methods does NMI support?
The NMI integration currently supports credit and debit card payments. It does not support Apple Pay, Google Pay, or e-check payments.
Is 3D Secure (3DS) supported?
Yes, 3D Secure support is available. To enable it for your NMI account, you must complete a one-time setup:
- Enroll in Payer Authentication 2.0 within your NMI account.
- Confirm the necessary authentication settings.
After this setup, transactions requiring 3DS will process seamlessly.
