Customizing Quiz Result Pages

Managing Quiz Results with Sections and Scoring

The quiz builder in your CRM includes a dedicated Result Template editor, giving you full control over the final page a quiz taker sees. This system allows you to organize the layout, manage what information is shown, and apply a consistent scoring scale across all your quizzes.

Understanding the Result Template Editor

When you edit a quiz, you can access the result page customization by finding the Result Template card and clicking Edit Template. This opens a specialized view with two main areas: a live preview of the result page and a Section Visibility panel on the left.

The left panel lists every section that makes up your result page, such as an overall score, category breakdowns, or call-to-action buttons. From this panel, you can:

  • Instantly navigate to any section.
  • Reorder the layout using drag-and-drop.
  • Show or hide sections from the quiz taker's view.

Working with Sections

You can build your result page by adding sections from a library of templates, which include common elements like Overall Score or Call to Action.

To change the order of sections on the page:

  1. In the Section Visibility panel, hover over the name of the section you wish to move.
  2. Click and hold the drag handle that appears.
  3. Drag the section up or down to its new position in the list and release.

You can also control a section's visibility. Clicking the eye icon next to a section will hide it from the published quiz, but the section and its settings are preserved. Clicking the trash icon will permanently delete the section from the template.

Setting Up Global Score Tiers

To ensure scoring is consistent and useful for automations, all quizzes use a normalized 0–100 percentage scale. You define what these scores mean by setting up Global Score Tiers.

To configure them:

  1. In the result page editor, click Configure Score Tiers in the top-right corner.
  2. In the modal that appears, set labels (like Low, Medium, High) and their corresponding percentage ranges. Each range must be between 0 and 100.
  3. Click Save to apply this logic globally to the quiz.

For example, you might set Low as 0–39%, Medium as 40–79%, and High as 80–100%. These tiers can then be used to trigger specific workflows when a quiz is submitted.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do hidden sections affect the quiz score?
No. A section that is hidden is excluded from both display and scoring calculations.

Can I change the labels for score tiers (like Low, Medium, High)?
Yes. You can edit the tier labels directly in the Configure Score Tiers modal.

What happens to old quizzes when this system is enabled?
Existing quizzes are automatically migrated to use the normalized 0–100 scoring. It's a good practice to review and confirm your score tier ranges after migration.

Can workflows be triggered based on a score tier?
Yes. Use the Quiz Submitted trigger in a workflow and add a filter for Overall Score Tier to run actions for specific tiers (e.g., Low).

If I delete a section, what happens to past quiz submissions?
Deleting a section only affects future quiz attempts. All historical submission data remains intact.

Can I reorder sections on a mobile device?
Section reordering via drag-and-drop is currently designed for use on a desktop browser.

Can I hide multiple sections at once?
Yes. You can select multiple sections in the Section Visibility panel using Shift-click or Ctrl/Cmd-click, and then toggle the visibility for all of them at once.
