  • Tagging: Use the full handle (e.g., @username.bsky.social). There is no autocomplete, so type carefully or copy/paste.
  • Hashtags: Use #hashtag format. Can include letters, numbers, and underscores, but not numbers alone.
  • Character Limit: 300 characters per post.
  • Emojis: Supported.
  • Links: Must start with http:// or https://. Each link counts as 23 characters regardless of length. Link shorteners are discouraged.
  • Daily Limit: 100 posts per 24 hours.

How to Create an App Password in Bluesky

Important: The app password is displayed only once. If you miss it, delete the old one and create a new one.

  1. Log in to your Bluesky account.
  2. Go to Settings > Privacy & security > App Passwords.
  3. Click + Add App Password.
  4. Name your app password and click Next.
  5. Copy the app password immediately—you’ll need it to connect Bluesky to Social Planner.

How to Connect Bluesky with Social Planner

  1. Navigate to the Marketing tab in your sub-account.
  2. Click Social Planner.
  3. Click the + Socials button.
  4. Select Connect Bluesky.
  5. Enter your Bluesky username without the @ symbol (e.g., username.bsky.social).
  6. Paste the app password (not your main account password).
  7. Click Connect.
  8. Click Add next to your profile to add it to Social Planner.

Once connected, your Bluesky account will appear in the All Accounts dropdown within Social Planner.

Manage Bluesky Comments
