X (formerly Twitter) Integration Discontinuation

X Integration Discontinuation

As of December 4, 2024, the integration between our CRM and X (formerly Twitter) has been discontinued. This change affects all Social Planner functionality related to X.

What This Means for You

You can no longer use the Social Planner to:

  • Connect to X accounts in the Connections tab
  • Create new posts for X
  • Schedule posts to X
  • Publish content directly to X

All other social media platforms supported by the Social Planner—including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google Business Profile, and TikTok—continue to work normally without interruption.

Reason for This Change

X recently implemented significant changes to their API requirements, including a new mandatory enterprise-level subscription. The cost to maintain this integration would have been substantial—approximately $42,000 per month—which would have required passing significant costs to our customers.

Our team worked extensively to negotiate an arrangement that would avoid this cost increase for our users, but we were unable to reach a feasible agreement. While we regret having to remove X support, we remain committed to enhancing the Social Planner and supporting all other integrated platforms.

Future Possibilities

We recognize that X is an important platform for many businesses. Our team continues to monitor X's API policies and explore potential solutions that could allow us to reintroduce X support in the future with proper compliance and enhanced functionality.

We will share updates if we're able to restore X integration in a sustainable way.

Frequently Asked Questions

Could users provide their own API keys for X?
While technically possible, this approach isn't a viable long-term solution due to platform stability and compliance requirements.

Will other social media integrations be affected?
No. All other Social Planner integrations remain fully supported and operational.
