Manage Rental Bookings with Calendar View

What is the Calendar View for Rentals?

The Calendar View is a visual tool for managing your rental inventory. It provides a timeline overview of all your bookings, blocked dates, and the availability of your listings and their variants. This consolidated view helps you quickly identify open slots, manage overlapping reservations, and streamline your scheduling operations.

Accessing the Calendar View

To open the Calendar View for your rentals, navigate to Calendars and select Calendar View. At the top of the screen, use the dropdown menu to select Rentals from the available scheduling types.

Understanding the Calendar Interface

The calendar is divided into several key areas:

Listings Panel

On the left side of the screen, you will see a list of all your rental listings. You can expand each listing to view its individual variants. This panel helps you visually connect each listing with its corresponding bookings on the calendar grid.

Calendar Grid

The central area displays a timeline of your bookings. Each booking appears as a colored block spanning its scheduled dates. The color indicates the booking's status:

  • Light Blue: Booked
  • Blue: Active
  • Green: Completed
  • Red: Canceled
  • Gray (Unfilled): Unconfirmed

Hover your cursor over any booking block to see a summary of details, such as the customer name, listing, duration, and status. Clicking on a booking block will open its full details for review or editing.

At the top of the calendar, you can control your view:

  • Use the Today button to jump back to the current date.
  • Use the arrows or date picker to navigate forward or backward in time.
  • Switch between Day, Week, and Month views to see more granular or high-level timelines.
  • The + New button allows you to create a new booking directly from this screen.

Filtering Your View

Click the Manage View button to open a panel for filtering and customizing the calendar display.

You can choose to view All items, only Bookings, or only Blocked Slots. Blocked slots include dates you have manually marked as unavailable or blocks imported from third-party systems.

Additional filters allow you to narrow down the display by selecting specific listings or variants, or by booking category, status, and payment state.

Creating a New Booking

You can create a booking directly from the Calendar View. Click the + New button at the top of the screen. This will open a booking form where you can select the customer, listing, dates, and other relevant details. Once saved, the new booking will appear immediately on the calendar.

Best Practices

  • Use the Day or Week view for detailed daily operational planning.
  • Use the Month view to identify long-term availability trends and occupancy gaps.
  • Regularly review and update blocked slots to ensure your availability calendar is accurate.
  • Utilize filters to focus on specific listings or booking statuses when managing high volumes.
