How to Update Your Brand Design Kit

About the Design Kit

A Design Kit is a central collection of your core brand assets—colors, logos, and fonts—stored within a Brand Board in your CRM. This kit powers the design tools across the platform, such as website, funnel, and email builders. When you select colors or fonts within those builders, the system pulls from the Design Kit of your default Brand Board. This ensures consistency and saves you from manually defining styles for every new project.

Editing your Design Kit allows you to update these foundational brand elements. When you make a change, like adding a new color or swapping a logo, that new asset becomes available for use in all future projects. It's important to note that updating the kit does not automatically change colors or fonts in pages, funnels, or emails you've already published; it updates the available options moving forward.

When to Edit Your Design Kit

You should update your Design Kit whenever your official brand visuals change to ensure all new marketing materials stay on-brand. Common reasons include:

  • Logo Update: You have a new primary or secondary logo.
  • Rebranding: You are introducing a new color palette or set of fonts.
  • Asset Refresh: You need to add an additional accent color or a complementary font for specific use cases.

How to Edit Your Design Kit

Step 1: Access Brand Boards

Navigate to Marketing and then select Brand Boards. You can also find this section within your account Settings.

Step 2: Open the Brand Board

Click on the title of the Brand Board you wish to edit. To have your changes reflected in the design tool pickers, ensure you are editing the board currently set as your default.

Step 3: Update Logos

Click the Logos tab near the top of the editor. You will see slots for primary and secondary logos. Click the edit (pencil) icon next to a logo slot to upload a new image file from your computer or media library. Replacing a logo here does not delete the old image file from your media library; you must manage files separately in the library itself.

Step 4: Update Colors

Click the Colors tab. Here you can manage your brand's color palette.

  • To add a new color, click the + Add button.
  • To change an existing color, click the colored square next to its name and use the color picker to select a new shade.
  • You can rename a color by clicking on its text field.
  • To remove a color, click the trash can icon next to it.

The color picker supports both HEX and RGB color codes. You can toggle between these formats using the label in the picker's bottom-left corner.

Step 5: Update Fonts

Click the Typography tab to manage your brand fonts. You can add up to five fonts, and at least one is required.

  • Click + Add to include a new font.
  • Use the dropdown menu next to each font entry to select a different typeface from the available list.
  • Remove a font by clicking its corresponding trash can icon.

Step 6: Save Your Changes

Once all your updates are complete, click the blue Save Board button in the upper-right corner of the editor to apply your changes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do edits to the Design Kit change my existing websites or emails?

No. Changes you make only update the options available in color and font pickers for future edits and new projects. Existing content is not altered automatically.

Why aren't my new colors showing up in the page builder's color picker?

The design tools only pull assets from the Brand Board that is set as your default. First, confirm you have saved your changes to the correct board. Then, ensure that board is set as the default. If a different board is default, its Design Kit will be the one displayed.

If your Payment Links are configured to use your Brand Board for theming, updates to colors in your Design Kit can be reflected in those links.

How do I change which Brand Board's assets appear in my builders?

You must set the desired Brand Board as your default. The default board controls which Design Kit is sourced by the platform's various builders and pickers.
