What Are Universal Elements?

Universal Elements are a powerful feature within the CRM's Page Builder that allow you to create a single design element and reuse it across multiple pages while maintaining a dynamic link. When you update the original saved element and publish the change, that update automatically reflects on every page where the element is placed. This is ideal for maintaining consistent branding and saving significant time on repetitive edits.

Creating a Universal Element

Follow these steps to correctly save an element for linked reuse.

1. Open any page (Funnel, Website, Blog, etc.) in the Page Builder.
2. Select the specific element you wish to save (e.g., a button, headline, or image).
3. Save it using one of these methods:
   • Click the save icon in the element's orange toolbar.
   • Use the ⋯ (more options) menu in the Layers panel and select Save as Universal Element.
4. Give the element a clear, descriptive name (e.g., "Primary Button - Blue") and confirm the save.
5. The element will now appear in your Saved Assets library under Universal Elements.

Placing and Editing Universal Elements

To Place an Element

Open the Add Elements panel, navigate to Saved Assets → Universal Elements, and drag your chosen element onto the canvas. Using this library ensures the element remains linked.

To Edit an Element

Select any placed instance of a Universal Element and make your design or content changes. After saving your page, you must publish the page for the updates to become visible to visitors. Publishing will update the element on all pages where it is used.

Working with AI Page Revisions

The AI revision tool is designed to respect linked Universal Elements. However, it's good practice to check the revision summary to confirm if a linked element was modified. If you need a variation that only exists on one page, first convert the Universal Element on that page to a local, non-linked copy before running the AI revision.

Managing Your Library

• Finding Elements: Access your library via Add Elements → Saved Assets → Universal Elements. Use the search function or browse thumbnails.
• Naming: Use consistent naming conventions (e.g., "Button-", "Icon-") for easy searching.
• Deleting: Use caution. Deleting a saved Universal Element removes it from the library for future use. Review which pages currently use the element before deletion.
