Using the Workflow Switcher in Advanced Builder

What Is the Workflow Switcher?

The Workflow Switcher is a navigation tool located within the Advanced Builder. It allows you to quickly search for and open other automations in your CRM. When you select a workflow, it opens in a new browser tab, leaving your current builder canvas undisturbed. This makes it easier to reference, compare, or copy elements between different automations without losing your place.

Benefits of Using the Switcher

Maintain Your Current Workflow

Your current automation remains open and unchanged, allowing you to switch contexts safely without reloading pages or navigating away.

Enable Side-by-Side Editing

By opening a second workflow in a new tab, you can view two automations at once. This is helpful for comparing logic or copying actions and branches directly from one workflow to another.

Save Time

Access your recent workflows or search for any automation by name from a single panel, reducing the time spent navigating through menus to find what you need.

How to Use the Workflow Switcher

Follow these steps to navigate between your automations.

  1. Navigate to Automations → Workflows in your CRM.
  2. Create a new workflow or open an existing one.
  3. Ensure you are using the Advanced Builder view. The switcher is not available in the standard builder.
  4. Locate and click the Workflow Switcher button on the left sidebar of the builder. You can also use the keyboard shortcut Shift + W.
  5. In the panel that opens, you will see a list of Recent Workflows and a Quick Search field.
  6. Use the search to find a workflow by its name, or click on any workflow in the recent list.
  7. The selected workflow will open in a completely new browser tab. Your original workflow builder tab will remain open in the background.
