Understanding Blog Sitemaps

A blog sitemap is an XML file that lists all the URLs of your blog posts and pages. It helps search engines like Google discover and crawl your content more efficiently, improving your site's visibility in search results. When you enable automatic sitemaps in your CRM, the sitemap updates automatically whenever you publish a new blog post, ensuring search engines always have the latest information.

Steps to Add a Blog Sitemap

Step 1: Set Up Your Domain

Before generating a sitemap, you need to connect your domain to the CRM. If you haven't already done so, follow the instructions for domain setup in your CRM's help documentation. Once your domain is properly configured, you can proceed to create the sitemap.

Step 2: Access the Sitemap Settings

After adding your domain, locate the three-dot menu next to it in your CRM's domain management section. Click on this menu and select the option to visit the XML Sitemap settings.

Step 3: Select Pages to Include

In the XML Sitemap settings, you'll see a list of available pages and funnels. To include your blog content, select the checkboxes for Blog Home and Blog Post. This ensures both your main blog page and individual post URLs are added to the sitemap.

Step 4: Generate the Sitemap

Once you've made your selections, click the Generate Sitemap button. The CRM will create and update the XML sitemap file automatically. From this point on, any new blog posts you publish will be included in the sitemap without manual intervention.
