Countdown timers in emails may not display the correct, live countdown for recipients using the Apple Mail app on iOS 15 or later. This is due to how Apple Mail pre-loads and caches email content for privacy, which can cause a timer to appear frozen at the time the email was delivered.
To address this, the CRM includes a specific setting that allows you to hide the visual countdown timer for users viewing emails in Apple Mail. This ensures your recipients do not see an expired or inaccurate timer, preserving the credibility of your time-sensitive offers. The timer will continue to function normally for all other email clients.
How to Enable the Setting
You can enable this setting when creating a new countdown timer or by editing an existing one.
Step 1: Access Countdown Timer Settings
Navigate to the Marketing section of your CRM and select Countdown Timers. From here, you can either click to create a new timer or click the edit icon for an existing timer.
Step 2: Enable the Hide Option
Within the timer editor, locate and select the Styling tab. Scroll to the bottom of the styling options panel. You will find a checkbox labeled Hide Timer in Apple Mail. Check this box to enable the feature.
Finally, click the Save button to apply the change to your timer.
