Managing Private Channels and Channel Emojis in Your Community
Understanding Private Channels and Channel Emojis
Private channels allow you to create exclusive discussion spaces within your community that are only accessible to approved members. This is ideal for hosting premium content, running private cohorts, or managing sensitive discussions. Channel emojis provide a small visual identifier that appears next to the channel name throughout the platform, making it easier for members to quickly recognize and navigate to specific channels.
Benefits of Using Private Channels and Emojis
- Member Control: You decide exactly who can view and participate in each private channel
- Focused Discussions: Keep specialized or confidential conversations separate from general community chatter
- Flexible Privacy: Easily convert channels between public and private status as your needs evolve
- Visual Recognition: Channel emojis help members quickly identify channels in lists and notifications
