Business Profile Settings

What Is the Business Profile?

Your Business Profile is the central place in your CRM sub-account where you define your company’s core information and configure account-wide settings. Properly setting up this profile ensures that your CRM functions correctly across all features and communications. This guide will walk you through each section, explaining what each setting does and how to configure it for your business needs.

Where Do I Find the Business Profile?

Accessing your Business Profile is straightforward:

  1. Make sure you are logged into the correct sub-account.
  2. Click on Settings in the left-hand navigation menu.
  3. Once in the Settings area, Business Profile is the first option in the menu and will be the default page you see.

So the path is: Log in → Select Sub-Account → Click Settings → Business Profile.

What Is in the Business Profile Settings?

The Business Profile is organized into several distinct sections, each managing a specific aspect of your account configuration.

General Information

This section stores your primary brand identity, including your business name, logo, contact email, phone number, website, and default currency. It also contains your branded domain for API calls and your account's API key.

Business Physical Address

Here you define your official business address and fundamental locale settings. This includes your Business Time Zone, the language used for the platform's interface, and the language used for outbound communications, which affects how dates and numbers are formatted.

Business Information

This area is for legal and compliance details. You can specify your business's legal entity type, industry, official registration number, and the geographical regions where you operate.

Authorized Representative

This section allows you to designate a person (with their name, title, email, and phone number) who is authorized to verify your business during compliance checks or approval processes with carriers.

General

This section contains toggles that control global behaviors for your account. Settings here affect contact deduplication, calendar booking time zones, verification processes, and communication defaults.

Contact Deduplication Preferences

This is where you manage how the CRM handles duplicate contacts. You can choose whether to allow duplicates and define which fields (such as email or phone number) are used to identify and match potential duplicates when new contact information is submitted.

Enable / Disable Deprecated Features

This section provides control over older, legacy features. You can choose to hide these features to standardize your team's workflow on modern tools, or keep them visible for auditing and migration purposes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do these settings apply across all users in the sub-account?

Yes. The Business Profile settings are applied across the entire sub-account. Some user-specific views, like calendars, may display information based on an individual user's time zone, but the underlying account settings are universal.

Can I change these settings later?

Absolutely. You can update any of these settings at any time. It is a good practice to test any significant changes after you make them to ensure they work as intended.
