Understanding Dashboard Widgets

What Are Dashboard Widgets?

Dashboard widgets are dynamic components that display key information and data visualizations on your main CRM screen. They provide an at-a-glance overview of your business metrics, helping you monitor performance and make informed decisions quickly. To add a widget, click the Add Widget button located in the top-right corner of the dashboard.

You can choose from a library of pre-built widgets or create custom ones to suit your specific reporting needs. An edit mode allows you to rearrange, resize, and configure each widget, giving you full control over your dashboard's layout and content. This flexibility ensures your dashboard works the way you do.

Widget Categories

Widgets are organized into categories to help you find the right tool for the job. The main categories include:

  • Contacts: For managing and analyzing lead information.
  • Appointments: For tracking meetings and schedules.
  • Opportunity: For insights into sales deals and revenue.
  • Visitor Data: For overviews of website and funnel traffic.
  • Emails: For monitoring email campaign performance.
  • Calls: For detailed analysis of call activity.
  • Conversations: For tracking messaging and chat data.
  • General: For broad performance reports and predefined data summaries.

For opportunity widgets, a Pipeline dropdown filter is available within the widget. This lets you view metrics for a specific sales pipeline instead of combined data from all pipelines.

Chart Types and Metrics

Widgets can present data using various chart types and calculations.

Supported Chart Types

  • Numeric/Count: Displays a simple number or count.
  • Donut Chart: A circular chart where the center number changes based on the selected metric (like average or maximum).
  • Line Chart: Plots data points connected by lines, ideal for showing trends over time.
  • Bar Chart: Uses vertical bars to compare numerical values across categories.
  • Horizontal Bar Chart: Uses horizontal bars for comparing categories.
  • Table: Presents detailed information in a structured, row-and-column format.

Supported Metrics

You can calculate data in widgets using these metrics: Sum, Min (Minimum), Max (Maximum), Avg (Average), and Count.

Customizing with Elements and Themes

You can further personalize your dashboard by adding elements and applying themes.

Using Elements

Elements let you add non-data components to organize and enhance your dashboard.

  • Title/Heading: Add labels to group related widgets or create sections.
  • Textbox: Insert notes, instructions, or reminders for your team.
  • Image: Embed logos, graphics, or charts to improve visual context and branding.

Applying Themes

Themes allow you to change the color scheme of your entire dashboard or individual widgets. You can select from pre-designed themes or create a custom one with your preferred colors.
