Using Snapshot Load Retry

What is Snapshot Load Retry?

Snapshot Load Retry is a feature in your CRM that allows you to re-attempt a failed snapshot push for specific sub-accounts without having to start the entire process over. When you load a snapshot to multiple sub-accounts and some fail due to temporary issues, you can use this tool to retry only the failed accounts. The retry attempt remains linked to the original load in your history, making it easier to track and manage.

Benefits of Using Snapshot Load Retry

This feature is designed to save you time and effort when managing your client accounts.

  • Saves Time: You don't need to rebuild and re-run a full snapshot push for all sub-accounts.
  • Reduces Manual Work: Retry failed sub-accounts with just a few clicks instead of manually creating a new load.
  • Improves Organization: All retry attempts are kept with the original load for clear auditing and troubleshooting.
  • Enables Faster Recovery: Quickly resolve temporary errors like network timeouts or permission issues to complete your rollout faster.

How to Access Snapshot Load Retry

You can initiate a retry directly from the load history.

  1. Navigate to the Snapshots section within your Agency view.
  2. Click on Load History.
  3. Select a previous load attempt that shows one or more sub-accounts with a failed status.
  4. Opening the load details will present you with the retry options.

Retry All Failed Sub-Accounts

Use this option to quickly retry every sub-account that failed in the selected load.

  1. From Snapshots > Load History, click on the load with failures.
  2. Click the Retry All Failed button.
  3. The system will begin reprocessing only the failed sub-accounts, and you can watch their statuses update in real time.

Retry Specific Sub-Accounts

If you only need to retry a few specific accounts, perhaps after resolving a known issue, use the selective retry option.

  1. From Load History, select the relevant load and open its details to view the list of sub-accounts.
  2. Check the box next to each failed sub-account you wish to retry.
  3. Click the Retry Selected button.

Tracking Retry Progress

You can monitor the progress of your retry attempts directly within the load details view. The status for each sub-account will update in real time, showing as In Progress, Successful, or Failed. This allows you to see the outcome without needing to navigate away or start a new process.

Retry Availability and Limitations

To ensure reliability, the Snapshot Load Retry feature has a few restrictions.

  • 48-Hour Time Limit: You can only retry a load within 48 hours of the original attempt. For loads older than 48 hours, you must create a new load.
  • Unmodified Snapshot: The retry function uses the original snapshot version. If the snapshot has been refreshed or updated since the initial load, you must start a new load to apply the latest version.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does a retry use the latest version of my snapshot?

No. A retry uses the snapshot version from the original load. If you have made changes to the snapshot, you need to create a new load to push the updated version.

Can I retry a load that is more than 48 hours old?

No. The retry option is only available for 48 hours after the initial load attempt.

Will retrying affect sub-accounts that were successful the first time?

No. The retry function only processes sub-accounts that previously failed. Successfully loaded accounts are not touched.

Who has permission to use Snapshot Load Retry?

Any user with the necessary agency-level permissions to load snapshots can access and use the retry feature from the Load History.
