Email Campaign Agent (Beta)

What is Email Campaign Agent?

Email Campaign Agent is an AI-powered tool that helps you create complete email campaigns through a guided, step-by-step process. You can start the process by asking the AI assistant to create an email campaign using prompts like "Create an email campaign" or "Email to promote my product." The AI then launches a builder that helps you assemble all campaign elements including copywriting, subject line testing, audience selection, and sending domain configuration directly within the Campaign Builder interface.

Key Benefits

Brand-Consistent Content Creation

Generate complete email drafts using AI assistance while maintaining your brand voice, reducing time spent staring at blank pages while ensuring message consistency.

Rapid Testing Capabilities

Create multiple subject line variations and run built-in A/B testing to optimize open and click rates without leaving the campaign creation workflow.

Precise Audience Targeting

Select recipients from dynamic segments, smart lists, tags, or pre-built audience groups to ensure your message reaches the right people.

Enhanced Deliverability Features

Guided setup for dedicated sending domains with automatic or manual DNS configuration options, plus default headers for DMARC alignment fallback protection.

Comprehensive Performance Tracking

Monitor campaign results through the unified email marketing dashboard and related statistics pages for complete visibility into performance metrics.

Creating On-Brand Email Content

The AI assistant uses your content preferences and brand voice settings to transform brief instructions into complete email copy. You can adjust tone, regenerate content, or edit directly—giving you AI acceleration without locking you into predetermined content.

Launch the AI assistant from your campaign draft to generate body content based on your prompt and preferred tone. Connect your brand voice settings from your brand management area to maintain consistency across all your marketing materials.

Subject Line A/B Testing

Remove guesswork from subject line performance with built-in split testing capabilities. Define the number of variations, test duration, and winning metric—the system automatically sends the winning variation to the remaining audience.

You can test up to six variations, with minimum requirements of ten contacts per variation and forty contacts total. Choose your winning metric based on either unique open rate or unique click rate. Note that A/B testing is available for immediate send and scheduled delivery options, but not for batch or RSS scheduled campaigns.

Audience Targeting Options

Selecting the right audience is crucial for campaign success. Email Campaign Agent supports multiple targeting methods to balance speed with precision:

  • Segments – Real-time, logic-based groups built from engagement data, tags, and field values that evaluate dynamically and can be reused across campaigns
  • Pre-Built Segments – One-click audience selections like "Engaged last 7 days" or "Interacted with last 5 campaigns" that snapshot at creation or scheduling time
  • Smart Lists – Dynamic contact views that update at send time, automatically including new matches and excluding non-matches
  • Tags – Use existing contact tags or add new ones during the send/schedule process to organize audiences and automate downstream actions

How to Set Up Email Campaign Agent

Step 1: Initiate with AI Prompt

Open the AI assistant and prompt it to create your campaign using phrases like "Create an email campaign" or similar instructions. The AI will recognize the task and launch the guided Email Campaign Agent flow.

Step 2: Review Sending Domain Setup

The flow first checks if a dedicated sending domain is configured. You can complete the guided domain setup immediately (recommended for better deliverability) or skip and complete it later. If setup is needed, you'll see the required DNS records with options for automatic configuration where supported or manual copy/paste where necessary.

Step 3: Provide Campaign Details

Answer the AI's brief questions about your campaign name, offer or topic, audience intent, and preferred tone. The AI uses this information to generate email content and pre-fill scheduling details.

Step 4: Connect Brand Settings (Optional)

Link to your brand management settings to ensure generated copy and formatting align with your brand guidelines. You can adjust tone or regenerate content as needed during this step.

Step 5: Configure Subject Line Testing

Enable subject line testing to generate multiple title variations. Choose the number of variations (up to six), sample size requirements, test duration, and winning metric (unique opens or unique clicks). You can also use default settings if preferred.

Step 6: Select Your Audience

Choose recipients from pre-built segments, tags, or smart lists to target your campaign effectively.

Step 7: Review and Confirm

The AI displays a summary card with your campaign name, description, goal, audience, and send status. You'll be prompted to confirm if everything looks correct. Choosing "Yes" creates the campaign and provides a link to review and schedule it in the Campaign Builder.

Step 8: Launch and Monitor

Click "Launch Campaign" when ready. After sending, track engagement through your email dashboards and follow up as needed, such as resending to non-openers where appropriate.
