Managing Payment Methods in Stripe

To enable or disable specific payment methods for display in your CRM, you must adjust the settings in your Stripe dashboard. Navigate to:

  1. Settings
  2. Connect
  3. Payment methods
  4. Your account

From the dropdown menu, select your CRM's configuration, as your Stripe account may be connected to multiple platforms.

CRM Configurations in Stripe

Your CRM uses four distinct configurations in Stripe to manage payment methods for different channels:

Invoice

Used for one-time invoices or recurring invoices with auto-payments disabled. Default enabled methods: Cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, ACH Direct Debit, Affirm, Klarna, AfterPay, Link, Amazon Pay, and Revolut Pay.

InvoiceWithAutopayment

Used for recurring invoices with auto-payments enabled. Default enabled methods: Cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and ACH Direct Debit.

Store

Used for online stores on websites. Default enabled methods: Cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Affirm, Klarna, AfterPay, Link, Amazon Pay, and Revolut Pay.

Default

Used for all other channels, such as order forms, payment links, memberships, and communities. Default enabled methods: Cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, Amazon Pay, and Revolut Pay.

Enabling or Disabling Methods

Select the appropriate configuration in your Stripe dashboard, then choose a payment method from the list to toggle it on or off. Some methods may appear blocked if they are not yet fully supported across all accounts.

Recurring Payments and Subscriptions

For a payment method to be available for subscriptions, it must be enabled in both your CRM settings and in Stripe under Settings → Payment Methods → Billing Payment Methods.

Benefits and Notes

Offering multiple payment methods can increase conversion rates by providing flexibility to customers in different regions. For example, Ideal is popular in the Netherlands, Bancontact in Belgium, and Sepa Direct Debit in the European Union.

All transactions are recorded under the Payments menu in your CRM, and existing triggers like Order Submitted and Payment Received will function as expected.

This feature is part of a gradual rollout from Stripe, so it may take a few days to become available in all accounts.
