Important Notice: Verify Your Sole Proprietor Brands OTP
As a sole proprietor using the CRM's phone system for texting, you must complete the A2P (Application-to-Person) brand registration process. A critical step in this process is verifying your business identity using a One-Time Password (OTP). This article explains how to complete this verification.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure you have:
- Started the A2P 10DLC brand registration process for your sole proprietorship within your CRM.
- Your business's registered phone number readily available. This is the number that will receive the OTP.
- Access to the phone or SMS inbox for that number to retrieve the code.
How to Verify Your OTP
- Navigate to the Phone System or A2P Registration section of your CRM settings.
- Locate the brand registration you are setting up as a sole proprietor. The system should indicate that it is pending OTP verification.
- Initiate the OTP request. The CRM will send a text message containing a numeric code to your business's registered phone number.
- Check your phone for the SMS message from the CRM or its verification partner. The message will contain a unique, time-sensitive code.
- Return to the brand registration screen in your CRM and enter the OTP you received into the verification field.
- Submit the code for validation.
What Happens Next
After you successfully submit the correct OTP, your sole proprietor brand will move to the next stage of the registration and vetting process. A successful verification confirms your association with the phone number and is a mandatory step for compliance with carrier requirements. If the code is incorrect or expires, you can typically request a new OTP from the same screen.
