Understanding and Using the Messaging Ramp Progress Card
What Is the Messaging Ramp Progress Card?
The Messaging Ramp Progress Card is a tool within your CRM that helps you monitor and upgrade your SMS messaging limits. It visualizes your current position in an 8-level messaging ramp system, outlines the steps needed to advance, and shows how to unlock higher daily sending capacities.
This system applies specifically to SMS and MMS messages sent through the CRM's phone features. It does not affect WhatsApp messaging limits.
Key Benefits
- Clear Visibility: Understand exactly where you stand and what’s required to progress to the next level.
- Proactive Growth: Encourages consistent usage to expand your messaging reach over time.
- Reduced Confusion: Common questions about limits and restrictions are answered directly within the tool.
How to Access the Messaging Ramp Progress Card
To view your progress:
- Navigate to your location’s Settings.
- Select Phone System.
- Open the Messaging tab.
- Click on the Messaging Limit tab.
How the Messaging Ramp Works
The ramp begins on the day you send your first successful SMS—not on your account signup date. All locations start at Level 1, with a daily limit of 100 SMS.
To advance to the next level:
- Send the full daily limit for your current level within a 24-hour period.
- After hitting the limit, outbound SMS sending is paused for the next 24 hours. This temporary restriction helps maintain deliverability as you scale.
- Once the 24-hour pause ends, your level increases automatically, and your daily limit rises accordingly.
This cycle repeats until you reach Level 8, which offers a daily limit of 3000+ SMS. At that point, you may need to contact your agency admin for further upgrades.
Example Progression
Here’s a sample journey through the first few levels:
- Day 1 (Level 1): Send 100 SMS within 24 hours. After sending, a 24-hour sending restriction begins.
- Day 2: Restriction is in effect—no outbound SMS can be sent.
- Day 3 (Level 2): Restriction lifts. You now have a daily limit of 250 SMS. Send 250 SMS to advance.
- Day 4: Another 24-hour restriction applies after hitting the limit.
- Day 5 (Level 3): Limit increases to 500 SMS. Continue this pattern to climb through all 8 levels.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I modify or remove the ramp-up model?

Do one-to-one and missed call text-back messages count toward my daily limit?
Yes. All outbound SMS and MMS messages, including one-to-one and automated replies, contribute to your daily total.
Can I send one-to-one messages during the 24-hour restriction period?
No. Outbound messaging is fully paused during the restriction, regardless of message type.
Does the restriction affect inbound messages?
No. Incoming messages continue to be received normally during outbound restrictions.
