What is Average Time in Site Analytics?

Average Time is a feature within your CRM’s site analytics that measures how long visitors actively engage with pages across your funnels, websites, and webinars. This view provides key performance indicators and trend data to help you assess user interaction over a selected period.

Key Benefits

  • Trend Visibility: Spot high and low engagement periods across your digital properties.
  • Actionable Prioritization: Use data to guide content improvements, user experience tweaks, and design updates.
  • Reduced Guesswork: Make informed decisions to boost retention and conversion rates.
  • Data-Driven Actions: Base optimizations on real user behavior rather than assumptions.

Key Metrics

Average Time

This metric shows the mean active duration per visit during your chosen date range. It helps gauge overall user engagement with your site.

Exit Before 30 Seconds

This represents the percentage of page visits that ended within the first half-minute. It helps identify sessions with minimal engagement, which may result from slow loading, irrelevant content, or unmet expectations. Note: Sessions shorter than two seconds are excluded to minimize noise.

How to Access Average Time Analytics

Step 1: Navigate to Analytics

From your sub-account dashboard, use the left navigation to go to Sites, then select the Analytics tab.

Step 2: Select Content Type

Use the dropdown at the top-left to choose between Funnels, Websites, or Webinars. You can further narrow results using the second dropdown to pick a specific site.

Step 3: Set Date Range

Use the date selector in the top-right to define the period you want to analyze.

Step 4: Review the Average Time Card

Scroll to view the Average Time card, where you can see the percentage of exits before 30 seconds and the average session duration. Hover over chart columns to see detailed time spent per session for specific dates.
