Connecting Facebook Post Sync in Social Planner
About Facebook Post Sync
Facebook Post Sync is a feature that imports your existing Facebook Page posts directly into the CRM's Social Planner. This allows you to view, manage, and analyze your historical content alongside newly created posts, creating a single hub for your social media activity. Please note this feature is currently in a Beta phase.
Key Benefits
Using Facebook Post Sync offers several advantages for managing your social presence:
- Centralized Content Management: Access all your Facebook posts, past and present, from within the Social Planner.
- Save Time: Automatically import recent posts instead of manually recreating them.
- Enhanced Analytics: View performance insights for your historical posts alongside your scheduled content in the Statistics section.
- Streamlined Onboarding: Quickly pull in post history when setting up a new client or location within the CRM.
How It Works
Once enabled, the sync process runs automatically. It primarily focuses on posts from the last 30 days, though the initial sync may sometimes import older historical content. The system supports text, image, and video posts. Performance data for synced posts is refreshed every 24 hours.
How to Enable Facebook Post Sync
You can enable this feature in one of two ways, depending on whether your Facebook account is already connected.
Method 1: Enable Sync When Connecting a New Facebook Account
Use this method if you are linking your Facebook Page for the first time.
- Navigate to Marketing > Social Planner.
- Click the + Socials button.
- In the connection pop-up, locate and enable the toggle for Sync Posts Automatically.
- Click Connect Facebook and complete the account linking process. Syncing will begin immediately.
Method 2: Enable Sync for an Already Connected Account
If your Facebook Page is already connected, you can turn on sync from the settings.
- Go to Marketing > Social Planner.
- Click on Settings.
- Navigate to Social Accounts and select Facebook.
- Find the toggle for Sync Posts for the desired Page and enable it. The system will start syncing posts in the background.
After enabling sync, you can view your imported posts in the Planner and their performance data in Statistics.
Enabling the Beta Feature
Before you can use Facebook Post Sync, you must enable the Beta feature for your account.
- Go to Settings > Labs.
- Search for Facebook Post Sync.
- Enable the feature for your sub-account.
Troubleshooting
If your Facebook connection expires, syncing will pause. You will see a prompt to reconnect your account; simply follow the instructions to resume syncing. You can disable the Sync Posts Automatically toggle at any time to stop future imports, which will not delete posts that have already been synced.
